Chocolate syrup
Ingredients
- 200g sugar
- 201ml water
- 200g cocoa powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract (optional)
Method
Whisk the sugar, water, cocoa powder and salt together in a saucepan then bring to the boil. After 3-5 minutes the syrup will start to thicken, at this point add the vanilla extract. Allow to cool and refrigerate.
Vanilla syrup
Ingredients
- 200ml sugar
- 200ml water
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Method
Combine the sugar and water in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Let cool then add the extract and refrigerate.
